There is a Lizzie Averill who married a man named White in Pa in the 20s or 30s, I forget now. Too early here to start working on it.

As for Lillian Everall with Julia Waterson boarding in Phila in 1930, I thought it might be Lizzie also. You don't know if it was the landlady who gave the information.

If this is the right couple - John B rather than James B ?  - California, U.S., Voter Registrations - 1940 - shows that same couple John B White (waiter) and Lily E White (waitress) - 2422 N Sichel Street. LA
