You did a marvellous job of finding the marriages of the daughters of James White and Mary Martin. Thank you so much for finding them and building up the tree. Also for finding the marriage of Kate Martin and Fred Cochran.

Catherine listed on her own (no Fred) in 1940 Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri

Catherine T Cachran   64   Head born PA

William Maxwell 38   Lodger

According to the bio Catherine died in 1956.

Sandra

If that is the right Catherine (without Fred) middle initial "T" - may or may not help  :)

According to WW2 Draft Fred Cochran was a "peddler on his own"

Well, either that is not Catherine Cochran on her own in 1940 or they got back together or Fred was saying they were together in 1942.
On the 1910 census, i have been puzzling over something. Looks like Catherine's second marriage though the 2 does not look like the other 2s on the page. Also says 4 children but doesn't say how many still living.

It doesn't help us to know when Lily E. and James B. White split up but we know that James was in Nebraska in 1932 as that is when he married Jennie E. Klein(M:Gus Klein 1926 Ohio) nee Griess, formerly Panagos(m:1910 Iowa), formerly Schumacher(m:1915 Montana), formerly Kimball (m: 1915-1926).
So I looked for both Lily and Lizzie in 1930 in Nebraska and in California, where she was in 1934. No luck.

James B. White married Jennie E. nee Griess in 1932 in Nebraska and they were divorced by 1937 on grounds of cruelty. Jennie died June 2, 1951 in Chicago and is buried with James. Jennie was first married to George Panagos in 1910, Will Schumacher/Shoemaker in 1915, Richard Kemball bef. 1926 as stated in her marriage to Gus Klein in 1926 but I never found a marriage to Richard Kemball. Not sure which surname she would have been using when she married James B. White, possibly Klein. I am not aware of any children for Jennie in any of the marriages but who knows.
Still haven't found James B. White or Lily White nee Averell or Lizzie White nee Averell in 1930 anywhere.
