Looking for James Dunlavy's Parents
Any one working on Dunlavy tree of Newcastle upon Tyne ?
I have a James Dunlavy b. 19 Ocy 1933/4 West End . James Died 2011

Possible father, Thomas Dunlavy from a tree on Ancestry. Just a name no other info.
Possible birth register for James, has Mother's surname as Burns.

Any help will be appreciated

The best way forward for potentially living people (who are not allowed to be discussed on Rootschat) is to obtain the relevant birth/ marriage certificates to ascertain who his parents were.

GRO has no Mothers maiden name so as looks like he was illeg :-\
+ MARY JANE 1930 no mmn.

I've noticed  the GRO haven't included the MMN in the later births (quite why I don't know as they are in the old index which is available on Free BMD)
I just tested it by searching for surname SMITH country wide in 1933, 5 pages of them (250 names seems to be the maximum if a first name not specified)not one with a MMN listed.

Thomas Dunlavy married Jane Burns Mar.1926 Gateshead, Durham - son born Jun.1926 Gateshead, son born Jun.1928 Gateshead, daughter Mar.1930 Newcastle and said James b.1933, died 2011 Newcastle upon Tyne.

Parents seem to be in Newcastle 1939 but minus children so wonder where they were.

Thanks Annette. The person who knows a little bit about James did say he had brothers but did not mention a sister. Will have to ask again

Ok,have asked, the person does not know of a sister,  it sounds like he had a lot of brothers, and he ran away from home at the age of 11.

As he died in 2011 then its not a problem, but given the dates in your original post its best to say if you know for sure that the people you post details about are deceased.

Thomas Dunlavy born 11/11/1901 Newcastle, son of Edward Dunlavy and Elizabeth Jane Cleghorn (married Sept.qtr.1894 Newcastle upon Tyne).
