Great Chesterford Burials 1729
« on: Wednesday 07 July 21 18:33 BST (UK) »
Hello there

I have found two burials both in 1729 for a John Amy and his son Robert, but without exact dates on the NBI, but I cannot find the same burials on the Essex Burial Index on FindMyPast.

Can anyone please check to see if they have the exact dates, and if there is any indication that the deaths were in any way linked?

Many thanks in advance!

Why do you think they are at Great Chesterford?
There is this at GC in 1729, right year and includes John and Robert

May 25  Jno and Robert ye sons of Robert P.....(?) and Ann his wife were buryed

The surname might be Prior, definitely begins with P and certainly not Amy

This may be a case of records being written up sometime after the event because there is a baptism of John and Robert, twin sons of John and Ann Priest baptised on 29 May 1729
