As a starter, I would suggest that the man on the right as we look at it is Royal Canadian Army Service Corps.

PS If you meet the terms and conditions you can apply for their service records:https://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/transparency/atippr/Pages/Access-information-military-files.aspx

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Hi Max
thank you unfortunately they re cousins
best i can do is ask the familly to apply
chap on left i have his service record for WW1
he was C A M C very young and joined late,
though his record states he had a period of service
prior to march 1919, from 1917 to 1918,
he then served in WW2,
he must have lied about his age in 1917 he was born 1902,
other 2 are much younger middle one born 1921,
all 3 where stationed in the UK.

Someone may come up with the answer to the kilted soldier but if not, a clue may lie in where he came from in Canada.  Many (all??) Scottish Canadian regiments had affiliations to specific areas of the country, may be worth looking at that angle?

The collar badges look right, 48th were Toronto based and they have two white tassels on a black sporran.
But the top part of the sporran (there is probably a technical term) is a much more ornate affair on most of the images I can find although I can find images with a simple badge at the top of the sporran too.  Perhaps there were variations (what do I know as a sassenach )?
