Landholder in National Census 1901
« on: Thursday 08 July 21 16:26 BST (UK) »
In column 18 'Name of Landholder (if any)'of the House and Building Return form of the National Census of 1901 is the Landholder the land owner? I am wondering if someone who has a lease on the land would enter their name in this column rather than the person from whom they are leasing the property. Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

May I please ask which country you are talking about?  I certainly don't recognise "column 18" in relation to the England and Wales 1901 Census.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Apologies, this is from the 1901 Census of Ireland form.
