There's a Magie Glyn b Lambeth c1880 on the 1891 census in St Clement Dane parish with widowed mother Milly, dressmaker aged 25. Image looks like 25 but it's a bit of a push - she'd be 14 when Maggie was born

Can you tell us a little bit about what you have on him in Canada? It might help.
Any date of birth? Where does it say he was from Holborn...something like that.
Roughly how old was he in the photo with the names of his sisters on the back?

Marriage appears to be in England Roman Catholic Parish Marriages (I don't have access)
Jacobum Murphy + Margeritam Glynn
Southwark, St George's Cathedral, 1906

The RC parish register entry confirms fathers' names as Michael Murphy and Michael Glynn. Witnesses to the marriage were a Thomas Bird and an E M? Murray.

On his  inspection report cards  it lists places that he was sent.   It also says Holborn Union, & gives his age as  8/14/1912

On the picture we have he is wearing the same uniform as what my Father in Law  has. My Father in Law was at Brentwood Orphanage & St. Charles School  We assumed that they met either at the orphanage or the school,

No other info. after he left the system
