Agree with the 1940s. Like Carol, I have quite a few  photos of older cousins wearing clothes like that.

Thanks Gadget. Given the dates and material being largely unavailable I've been wondering if that dress had been 'upcycled' from a previous one. lol I start with a photo and then my mind wanders to the times and how things were back then.

My try. :)
Peter

Thank you Peter, though I still think that its about time you stopped calling them 'tries' and acknowledge them as 'successes' :-)

A try from me
and a very nice 'try' it is too, (are you related to Peter? He always does 'tries' and astounds me with results too!)
Thank you PatBot, that's lovely and I really do appreciate your time and help

You are welcome Boo. I wish I could get mine as sharp as Peter's efforts.

Made my previous efforts sharper

Oh thank you PatBot, though I thought your earlier ones were very good, I can see what you mean by 'sharper'.
Just hoping you haven't been sat there at a desk since July working on these - or least have got up now and then for meals and comfort breaks ;-)

Really appreciated

Boo
