From the Drouin Collection on ancestry....

Herbert Roy Hoare married Doris Weekes 07 Sept 1940 at St John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Montreal.

The image is difficult to read but has quite a bit of other info. Key in just Hoare and 1940 under marriages in Quebec.

Thanks *Sandra*

Almost unreadable...from the Drouin Collection on ancestry.

What appears to be the baptism of Esther Emily Hoare at St Jude Anglican Church in Montreal. Can just make out the parents but the date of birth is unreadable. The baptism year is 1903 and I think the month is September.

James Frederick Hoare...

Baptism from the Drouin Collection on ancestry. Very difficult to read again but can just make out the pertinent details. Look under Hoare 1907-1908.

Born 19 May 1907
Bapt  ?? June 1907
Parents John William Hoare and Eliza Crea_ es
At St Alban Anglican Church Montreal

I wonder if this might be the James Frederick who was buried in 1907 (see above)? The image here is also hard to decipher but when I first looked at it I thought it said "in the first year of his age". I don't think it indicates an age compatible with the age Frederick would have been either. Perhaps another pair of eyes might be helpful here? The above baptism is on the page previous to the burial and immediately precedes it.

But then what happened to Frederick?

Anyway, food for thought.

Frederick thoughts...

Frederick James Hoare
Baptism 30 Jan 1901
Parents John William and Eliza Hoare
At Walworth Lady Margaret Church, Southwark.

The family is living in Southwark RD in the 1901 census.

The GRO index has a death registered in Southwark RD for a Frederick James Hoare age 1 in the June qtr 1901 (FreeBMD has the RD as St Saviour with a note about a possible mistranscription).

I don't remember when the 1901 census was taken off hand but wonder if this death might be him?
Added: looked it up...01 April 1901...so presumably prior to the June qtr death reg.

More food for thought.
