Medal Recognation
« on: Wednesday 14 July 21 15:51 BST (UK) »

Hello  :)

I've just received a photograph of my great grandmother and her family - in it, one of her daughters is wearing a medal?  I'm guessing the photograph was taken around 1912, the lady would have been about 25 years old?  So its not a school medal...

Would anyone know what it might be?

Many thanks, Selby

Do you know what she did?  Was she a nurse for example or a governess or a musician in case the medal is related to her occupation.

Hi Milliepede,

Unfortunately not, I thought the sisters (I don't know which one it is, and there were six) were all involved in dress making, I've attached the 1901 census but can't read what the elder sisters did!  ::)

? Cameo Stamper ?
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

How do you know that it’s a medal? Could it be a watch or some form of jewelery?
