Jane Hurl (45 years) and William Hurl (25 years)  arrived 5 September 1899 on the City Of Rome.
Jane suggests she had been in UDA previously and resided in New York for 4 years.  William indicates never in the USA. Interestingly they were going to husband and father at 2756 Frankford Avenue. Philadelphia.

Those emigrations are indeed interesting. Now I have to wonder who May Hurl is. Sarah is likely the one who later married Joseph Watterson in 1885.
The address of 2756 Frankford Ave. is indeed interesting for Jane Hurl. I looked  back at the address for John Watterson and it was 4520 Frankford Ave..
I found something interesting this morning on the County Tyrone site. I was wondering if there is any connection to Ellen Watterson nee  Ellen Hyde Wray who was on the 1940 Philadelphia census in the same household as Benjamin Watterson.

News clippings at the time indicate, 2756 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia is the address of the Hall of the  Salvation Army in the late 1890s

Ellen had a brother John Wray born 18 January 1856 died 12 July 1940 - 6317 Grays Avenue Philadelphia. Married to Sarah Stevenson.
Informant on the death certificate was Robert Wray - burial was Mount Moriah. Philadelphia.

It did say 1852. Thought perhaps an ancestor or relative of Ellen Hyde Wray. Since her parents died in Ireland, not an ancestor but perhaps a relative of some sort.
