Thomas Adams from Oswestry Question re his death
« on: Friday 16 July 21 13:06 BST (UK) »
I am struggling to find any details regarding the death of Thomas Adams (bn 1828) from Oswestry.

I know he married Sarah Peters (previously Ward) in 1875 and his youngest child (Tom) was born on 27th December 1881 - both of which were in Oswestry.

He shows on the 1881 Census as living in Oswestry so assume he passed away between April 1881 and April 1891 in that area.

I cannot find any details regarding death can anyone offer any suggestions as to where I should be looking please?

Thank you Nanny jan and Comberton for your replies, I did find that (after nanny jans prompt) but wasn't sure it was the right Thomas Adams as Llanfyllin sounded a distance from Oswestry.

I guess the answer is to order the death certificate?

There is only one Thomas Adams of that age in Montgomeryshire in 1881

8 Broad Street, Middle Pool, Forden, Montgomeryshire
Thomas Adams  Head Widower 52  1829 Confectioner  Bridgenorth, Shropshire
Elizabeth Pritchard Sister in law single 43  1838 Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Richard Powell Boarder single 45 1836 Accountant Welshpool, Montgomeryshire
Marion B Taylor Visitor single 17 Welshpool, Montgomeryshire

Can anyone find him in 1891 to eliminate him?

I suspect the online trees have possibly copied from each other; have you found Sarah on 1891 census? I would check where Sarah and children are in 1891 before ordering a death certificate.

Was your Thomas a confectioner?
