my distant aunt Ellen Mary Ann haylett died at the above address in 1942 she had been moved there from Yarmouth and was taken back to Yarmouth when she died was it a hospital and I wondered 1hy she would be taken up there thank you for any info you can give

Have you got any Jacksons or Bassetts in your family? How old was your aunt?

It is Crumpsall hospital and is  123 not 23
The burial notice shows
Ellen Mary Ann Haylett, 64 yrs
Death Place:123 Crescent Road Crumpsall
Burial Date:23rd December 1943
Burial Place:Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Cemetery Section:F
Grave Number:   254

Did she have relatives in Manchester?

There was a funeral director in 1940 with the address "23 Crescent Road. Tel Cheetham Hill 2575".

I thought it odd to be recorded as place of death but Heywood has enlightened me!!

That’s a coincidence. Perhaps they handled the arrangements though if there is a record with that address on.
It seems strange to be moved from Yarmouth to Manchester for treatment at that time.

Another oddity is that burial (previously quoted) shows 64 yrs.
The civil death entry has 73 yrs and it is 1943 not 1942, amabel.
