"Not exceeding £125,000" repetition on page of Jersey probates

Hi, Everyone,
Was rather minding my own business looking up the details of probate for someone who died in 1992 in Jersey.  This individual left a modest £12,000.  However, just about everyone else on that page has the phrase "Not Exceeding £125,000" in their entries.  Presumably some kind of tax threshold. Can someone enlighten my ignorance here about its significance...?

That link would relate to the laws in England & Wales.

Jersey is a separate legal jurisdiction (i.e. not part of the UK, Great Britain or England) - you would need to search Jersey records for their equivalent.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Hi Keith,

Are you sure it's a page of Jersey probates that you are looking at? Or is it a Jersey death in the England and Wales probate calendar, like Raymond Thomas Cox on this page: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/1904/images/46452_B294687-00075

No IHT in Jersey.
