The death notice for James Frazer Allan states he died in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Sat. Feb. 27, 1988, aged 65. The funeral was private. Perhaps the Registrar in Aberdeen might help. I tried to attach but couldn’t make it work.

Thanks All

There are reports James Frazer Allen (Frazer) was born in Ireland. See attachment. Although can't confirm this.

I have found Carson's grave (Allenvale) on Billion Graves.

I am in touch with The son of the man they rescued, and got some info from him. They had a different understanding but using info from the National Archives I geve them the details of the event.

I think the family of Frazer Allen were as follows:

Parents:

James Allen
Eleanor Fraser Morgan

Mother Eleanor Fraser Morgan or Allen died in Fraserburgh in 1970 at the age of 82.

Father James showing on the 1940 VRs at 35 Fonthill Terrace, Aberdeen. This is the address given for Frazer in newspaper reports in 1941.

Electoral Rolls for 1952 at that address show:

James Allen
Eleanor Allen
James F Allen
Dorothy O Allen

Sister's death:

DOROTHY OLIVIA ALLEN or DICK (married John Dick in 1961)
Age 95
Mother's maiden name MORGAN
2015
311/ 39
Fraserburgh

Can't see a Scottish birth for sister or mother...so, your Irish refs may be correct.

The death notice for James Frazer Allan states he died in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Sat. Feb. 27, 1988, aged 65.

If he was born in approx 1923, then birth records after 20 July 1921 are not available online at GRONI but they can be contacted for a search.

This is likely James Allen in the 1901 census.

One of his brothers was William Kerr Allen who was probably the W K Allen, a witness at his wedding in 1917.

Is the clip below the one you found? Is there another one with mention of cemetery?

Thanks Everybody for your help again.

The cemetery reference is for Alfred Carson

Alfred Carson and Fraser Allen both received the George Medal for a rescue in 1941
