Gordon- Glencairn

I have traced my ancestors to an Alexander Gordon in Manchester who was the son of William Gordon and Mary Corson.

At Glencairn cemetery churchyard is the following inscription:
Sacred to the memory of Mr William Gordon late in Barbuie (?) who died 1799. His children Janet and Thomas who both died young. James his eldest son who died 1802. Mary Corson relict of the above William Gordon who died 2nd May 1829. William their fourth son who died 3rd May 1829. In August 1805 (at St Thomas's in the East) in the island of Jamaica, John Gordon. And on the 11th November 1831 Jane Gordon.[Nos 5 6 7 and 8 enclosed by a wall and railing to the right of the church].

I have gone a little bit further back on the Corson side, but can find no further information on William Gordon. Can anyone help me?

I recognise that inscription from when I was looking for my ancestors in the Glencairns many years ago. I think Barbuie is in Irongray.

I don't think I'm related but I can't think why I read it and recognise Barbuie and the Gordons 

I'll have to go through my notes, which could take a while. I'll get back to you if I find anything.

I was in that area of KKD/DF a couple of years ago to look at Andy Goldsworthy's  Striding Arches sculptures. It made a change from looking or ancestors!

I've also been scrolling through British Newspaper Archive website and found a notice to creditors of William Gordon in 1782.
