Freebmd birth not on GRO website

From Freebmd I have the following birth but can't seem to find it on the GRO website

Joanna Potts
Q2 1876
Durham 10a 453

Can anyone find it?

I had no luck either.

I would report it to them so they can investigate and if it is missing they will add it. However do not know how long that will take with the current Covid restrictions on staff etc
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

There is a Johanna Potts registered 1875 Q2 Stockton with the mother's maiden name of Plews, Vol 10a Page 199

I can’t see it on the GRO either, but it does appear on the birth index on the Durham Registrar’s site

Seems to be a problem family as her brother doesn't show on the GRO website either.

What was Hannah' maiden name?

There seems to be something odd going on here - can't find a marriage between a John Potts and Hannah, the only James Potts (brother) birth 1879 Sunderland has a mmn of Swallow BUT a tree on ancestry shows Joanna had a half brother named Nicholas Fairlamb ca.1876 who died but that birth brings up a mmn of Potts??

If parents weren't married although birth registered as if they were GRO might have amended it in their own index and it's listed under Hannah's surname (whatever that was).

All very odd.

Where have you found Nicholson Potts, other than a birth registration?  Sorry, I've chosen this person as the forename is unusual.   :-\
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

That's what I was hoping to find out Annette.  I'm doing some research on James Potts born ca 1879.

Bumble Nicholson appears later as Nicholas so isn't much help.

I think I've found the entries under Robson MMN Dixon!

There was an elder sister Mary Ann on the census and this looks like her birth.

Mary Ann Robson MMN Dixon
Q4 1873
Stockton 10a 164

So there's just James' birth that I can't find.

Hannah Dixon daughter of Nicholson Dixon married Luke Robson 19/5/1862 Kelloe, Durham.  Likely death for Luke Q4 1870 Stockton aged 31 years.

It would seem Hannah was free to marry so I wonder if John Potts was already married.
