I have some information that Cecil Hubert Blankley was granted a commission on 26.9.1916 as 2nd Lt into the Leicestershire Regiment.  I've searched the London Gazette using a date range between 1.1.1914-1.1.1922 just for the name Blankley, but he doesn't appear in the search results

His surname has been printed as Blaukleyto in the London Gazette 17 October 1916.
