Arthur W. Anderson died internee Borneo 1942 - looking for entry

I can't see a CWGC entry for Arthur W. Anderson who is named on a memorial at Holy Cross Cemetery.  The recording is that he died as an internee in Borneo in 1942.
Can anyone else spot an entry?

Thanks for reading.

No, not in CWGC.

There's a 1948 probate record for Arthur William Anderson, "died on or since 20 February 1942 at some place unknown". 12 Bede Crescent, Willington Quay.

Only a thought - could it be that he was a civilian rather than military  :-\
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Definitely a civilian. An internee, not a PoW.

Thank you so much for the help on these posts.  I thought even if a civilian he might have had a CWGC memorial but perhaps this is not right.

I am interested in him as I do local war history research.
I don't think he is any connection but it is interesting that he lived in Bede Crescent.  My step Grandmother Penelope Senior formerly Fulton nee Anderson (long deceased since 1979 - Grandfather's third and last wife) had family who were bombed out there and killed.  The Smith Anderson who was killed and his family was her brother.   :'(

Might be worth a search in National Archives CO1070 or CO980. ICRC (Red Cross) may be able to help as well

CWGC commemorates 52 civilian war dead in Borneo. Presumably this one has not come to their attention.
