Gosh, that's a very substantial headstone, Dathai,
Thanks so much for putting this image on here.
And many thanks also for those two tributes from the local paper, The Kilkenny Moderator,  Kiltaglassan...

Dathai and Kiltaglassan,
Very remiss of me not to have responded earlier and to again be thanking you bothso much for continuing to dig far and wide for the ancestral footprints of the DUNPHY and PHAYER families.
That 1911 Census page shows John DUNPHY, who must be yet another sibling in that large generation to Frederick DUNPHY.  I've recently come across a 1922 death in Derby of a DUNPHY woman, and was wondering where the connection might be.  Looks like whisky, (Johnny?) Walkers provided the small family's livelihood.
Also, those PHAYER wills are full of fascinating family connections and names that pull the tree together.  Along with those extremely interesting ten pages about their activity in the coach building industry in 19thC Ireland.
With all those baptism, marriage and death notices/certificates too, I have so much to feed on now.  Those Irish records are indeed impressive in their free availability, too...

Dathai,
That's quite a long way back for the PHAYER/PHAIRE family, to a date of 1726...thanks very much for all extra links you keep putting on this thread for me...
