My g-g-g-grandmother Hannah Beckwith (or Beckquith) was christened on 26th February, 1791 at Bretton West, West Yorkshire. According to this Parish Register entry it records her father as a John Beckquith. Unfortunately her mother is not mentioned. I cannot locate a likely marriage entry for John in Bretton West around this period although there are other possible marriages in nearby areas. I have postulated that the marriage of a John Beckwith to Jemima Winter at Cawthorne in 1780 is a very likely candidate, but how can I be sure? For your advice please. Thanks cheers, Rob.
