My ggggrandfather Edward Todd was a Drum Major in the 79th Regiment Queens Own Cameron Highlanders Regiment of foot.he was born c 1790,and married c 1815 a Elizabeth Benson born c 1791 St Bees Cumbria. After the marriage I have her children being born in Bannockburn Stirling Scotland.1869 Elizabeth died in Clackmannan of Typhoid she was a widow by then.I would love to find out more about Edward Todd and does anyone know what places he would have gone with his regiment. He wasnt in the 1841 census so must have been away at that stage.Thank You in advance
Kate

Between 1804 and 1815 the regiment had 2 battalions, do you know which battalion he was in?

An Edward Todd appears in the Waterloo medal roll in Capt James Campbells's Company in  1st Battalion 79th regiment of Foot (as the regiment was known then).

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

He doesn't appear on any medal rolls other than Waterloo so presumably died before 1848.
