That would be a bit odd. Olive Mary has an existence of her own - clearly to be found in 1901, 1911 and marrying in 1919

She was Olive Muriel, not Olive Mary.

But this is incorrect - in 1911 'Olive' states bc.1890 Oxfordshire and, like marriage, is Olive Muriel.

I still think Olive and Alice are one and the same although can't explain why Alice would adopt such a fanciful name.   GF's first son baptised with mothers name as Alice not Olive, but she's Olive on 1911 census.  GF's second son born 1915 (died 1918) is shown with mmn Prior, so Alice definitely around then.   Yet GF's RAF record in 1918 shows wife as Olive.  Between 1910 and 1918 there is a crossover in names between the 2 (?) women.   Since no trace of an Olive Muriel (Swinstead) before 1909 marriage, and no trace after for her (aside from shown as spouse in RAF record 1918) am sure they are in fact the same person.

I know that Alice Amelia SEWARD is in or around Oxford/Woodstock in 1941.
There is a declaration by an A Seward (which I assume is her) on her sister's death certificate.
It states that her mother was in actual fact not married when she had claimed to be!
Compulsive liars/crooks. ;D
Am I allowed to post the certificate here?
