Sadly- John's father Edward is simply noted as 'deceased'on the m/cert in 1915.

Are you aware that there was another marriage for GMC after the 1913 to Margaret and before his marriage to Irene in 1933?

They divorced in 1924 (Wife's petition for divorce) https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C8038027

I did a check to see if there was a record for John Evans & Grace but I can't find anything on Anc*y
England & Wales, Civil Divorce Records, 1858-1918 or on the link for the National Archives
