Ruby Teasdale was born 18/7/1916 Tibshelf, Derbyshire, the daughter of Harold and Lily, and lived at West View, Park Road, Barnsley, Yorkshire.  She suffered from rheumatic fever and was advised by her doctor to spend time in South Africa.  I have found where she sailed with her mother from Natal arriving Southampton April 1933 and again Cape Town to Southampton June 1936.  Ruby is said to have married in SA with 500 guests attending the wedding.  She was last sighted shopping for a wedding dress in Leeds.  I cannot find her in the UK in the 1939 Register, which might suggest she married 1936-1939?  Any help would be very much appreciated.

The closest marriage I could find in Durban in Natal was this one.

Her father Harold died 1960 & left a will.  Have you downloaded a copy to see if Ruby is mentioned?

Thank you all so much for your help.  With a lot of searching and a lot of luck I managed to find Ruby's married name which gave me her death. 

Death Notice Ruby Lyne born Hasland, England.  Father H Teasdale, 34 West View, Park Road, Barnsley, Yorkshire, England.  Mother deceased.  Newcroft, Beatrice Road, Salisbury.  Age 40 years 11 months.  Surviving spouse John Longley Lyne.
Married 4/3/1939 Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia.  Died St Annes Hospital, Salisbury 19/6/1954.  Child Mary Susan Lyne 19/9/1953 by legal adoption.  Estate approx £500.

Ruby and John also had a son Peter Lewis Lyne died 19/9/1951 St Annes Hospital, Salisbury, Zimbabwe of Newcroft, Beatrice Road, Salisbury age 6, birthplace Union of South Africa.  Cause of death collapse of lung, duration one day.

The story wasn't supposed to end like that ....
