SARAH KELLY MATHER
« on: Thursday 29 July 21 15:08 BST (UK) »
I haven't worked out how to get these questions on the 'St Joseph's RC Cemetery, Moston' page, perhaps it can be transferred please.
I have been trying for years to find family connections to my great-gran-Sarah Kelly (married name Mather).  I have recently found what I think is where she is buried.  St Joseph's, 17 June 1936
Grave number: St James 1143.  There is no gravestone.  I wonder if anyone knows if there are any records of who may have buried her.  I've looked in the Archives but find them very confusing and got no further with my research.  Her husband William Mather was buried in Southern Cemetery, Chorlton-cum-Hardy in January 1925 but there is no headstone for him either.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Presumably the originator of the FAG memorial had access to a resource.
Did you find out what resource was used?

I put the FAG memorial on the site.  I found the grave by searching for her and guessed that as the family were Catholics and her daughter didn't live too far away that she would be buried in St Josephs Catholic Cemetery.  When I searched this came up and I knew her death date.

PS - I wrote to the cemetery to ask if they could supply me with a grave number

If the grave number was given to you by the cemetery, do they have the details?
When you say ‘who buried her’ , do you mean who owned the grave or the undertakers?
I don’t quite understand what information you are looking for.

The cemetery didn't give me anything more than the grave number.  I am looking for the name of any relative that I can make a connection with.
I could write to the cemetery again and ask if there was any further information.

Ah I see.
They might have details of the owner or if there are others in that grave.
I hope so.

Thanks very much 'heywood'  I'm just in the process of drafting an email to the cemetery, I have just found an email address for them.
Thanks for your help.
