Thank you for the good wishes.

My GP diagnosed Influenza. I and some others who were recovering thought it was early Covid because we had heard reports from Italy on TV that a few of their patients were displaying a rash and similar symptoms.

Searching the regional newspapers since, there were some nasty flu strains about late 2019 to early 2020 (pre-Covid here).

Doctors don't say very much, except that I've been fortunate so far. The last of my body rash (since March 2020) has only recently just about disappeared.

Mark

I hope all continue to improve, keep at it!

Glad to hear of some improvement .
I collected a Covid self testing kit today from the local pharmacy .
Next but one neighbour very “ seedy” ,flu like symptoms.
He had Covid in America whilst in holiday late December 2019 early  2020 .
Not back at work yet .
He has my key when I go away etc.
I hope it is the ‘ flu , I must get a kit for myself ,seven in the box  but only one set of instructions and some little gadget or other ,which I did not realise until coming back home on the bus when I read what was on the packet.
Rang his bell ,put the package on his windowsill, he bobbed out go get it.
He looked grey and really weary.

Nice to read people are getting out a bit more.
Met my hairdresser today, and so sorry but the salon is now closed .
I had got no answer to my phone calls.
The two ladies were both really good cutters ,no frills and flounces but a hair do lasted well.
I hate modern salons ,so need to find another old fashioned one now.
A dying breed.!
Dull day but quite mild ,
Half of all the clothes I own out on the spare bed , I have as yet no real idea what we will be doing next week, some visits I know ,Flash Harry likes Colchester Zoo , the coast is not a million miles away either .
And the weather ,got to be prepared for arctic conditions and heat waves !
I hate being cold ,makes me grumpy ,just can’t function .

Well Prince Andrew’s muck being raked up again ,poor Queen .
It has waited so long to come out in the open ,could have waited longer perhaps and why do the women have to wait so long to reveal ,I know they might not be believed etc ,but it does have a bit of cashing in well after the event about it.
When does consentual become abuse?
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors ,but the minute a girl is silly enough to go beyond a certain point  she can be in trouble.
On the other side some men in positions of power will abuse those positions.

Met an old dog walking friend today ,I must go to the park for a meet up, the afternoon walks of several hours were so enjoyable ,lots of laughs etc.

Well must try to whittle down the piles of clothes!
Will check with daughter this evening to see what plans etc .

Look after yourselves everyone, so many with odd and troublesome worrying symptoms .Coughs ,rashes, aches etc
I hope you are all well very soon.

Kind regards and many thanks for the good wishes , I send good wishes to you all too.
Viktoria.

Viktoria, if your neighbour has symptoms that he suspects could be Covid he should be ordering a PCR test, not a lateral flow test. He can order one online and they're delivered through the letterbox.

If you want some lateral flow tests for yourself you can order online, you don't have to go and collect them. They are for checking to make sure you don't have asymptomatic Covid. They too are delivered through the letterbox.

The seven pack I got free ,from the Pharmacy had the tests and a tube of some sort and something else .I did not open the box.

There is a testing station quite close by,he has a car ,but did look ill when he answered the door then we both stepped back a good way.

I phoned later but no answer ,perhaps he had gone to the testing station.
I would have thought he would let me know.,he knows I am supposed to travel on Tuesday. We have inky chatted at the door for a couple of minutes ,but it is airborne,
Thanks Roobarb.
Viktoria.
Thanks Roobarb ,I did not think really.
Am phoning son  later to see how he is , he will explain it all.
