Martha married John Appleby at Islington Middlesex by Banns on 6 Feb 1815
3 children Martha age about 7 & Ann age 5 and a half & Elizabeth age 3 and upwards
said husband had deserted her does not know where he resides

This maybe a possible marriage for her sister Martha

but that doesn't help with finding a marriage for William Birch Smith to Elizabeth Appleby - perhaps they didn't marry
