I think Ann's first husband was William Warman, and they are in St Luke in 1841

Then she is a widow in Shoreditch in 1851, with four children

Marriage at St Giles Camberwell, 27 June 1836
William Warman
+
Ann Appleby

Witnesses William B Smith, Elizabeth Smith

Thank you Jon that seems to confirm it's the correct baptism for Elizabeth Appleby

This maybe a possible marriage for her sister Martha

Martha Appleby
19 Mar 1832 St Bride Fleet Street, City of London
Spouse:   George Thomas Witted (possible death for George 1847 St Martin's in the Field)
one witness was Martha Appleby (perhaps her mother)

Martha also appears to have remarried her father is named John but his occ Lieutenant in Royal Navy  :-\

Martha WITTED widow, father John APPLEBY
25 Aug 1856 All Saints, Lambeth
Spouse:   Moses Walter WALLWORTH

1861 Piece:   56 Folio:   58Page Number:   26
Moses Walter Wallworth   42
Martha Wallworth   45 St Martins Middlesex
Rhoda Wallworth   12
Thomas Wallworth   9
Hellen Wallworth   2

Rhoda Elizabeth Wallworth age 10 Birth 11 Apr 1848
Baptism 20 Mar 1859 St Martin-In-The-Fields, London, Westminster
Father:   Walter Moses Wallworth, Hatter Mother:   Martha abode 10 Monmouth St
Also baptised on the same day were siblings
Thomas Hiram Wallworth born 5 March 1852  (GRO indexes mmn APPLEBY)
Helen Jane Walworth born 1 July 1858           (GRO indexes mmn APPLEBY)

Martha Wallworth 40, Rhoda E 14 , Thomas H 10 & Helen J 4 all travelled to Australia
arrived 27 Feb 1863 Ship Merrie Monarch

Moses W Wallworth age 42 travelled to Australia 7 Aug 1862 Ship Monarch

but that doesn't help with finding a marriage for William Birch Smith to Elizabeth Appleby - perhaps they didn't marry  :-\
