He died before the end of the sentence .

Conditions of detention were terrible in Guyana.

I made a mistake  he was finaly  sentenced to ( only) 15 years of transportation to Guyana on the 12th march 1852 , not to 15*2 years

I have found that there were no burial there, but bodies were just taken out to sea.

Apparently the convicts who died on l'île Saint Joseph could be buried, those who died on l'île Royale or l'île du Diable were taken out to the sea .

The 3 islands ( 14 kms at sea in front of Kourou) were called les îles du Salut.

Is it possible to see where Casimer was, also when his brother in law died. This is such a fascinating story.
