Elliven - my software can do various things, including 'Sharpen' but I can't do anything that would improve the image to my eyes
. Others may have different ideas but I can't help - see below

Thanks for trying. I can't get a better scan because this is the only close up photo I have ever found

It's a lovely pub now. I just wish I could find a decent photo of it in the old days when it was known as the Matchbox because the bar was covered in matchboxes from all over the world. That was in my younger days!
