Dear Zoe,

I was so sad to learn this morning of the passing of your grandfather - known to us as MaxD. He was a true gentleman and helped many of us here patiently and calmly with our military queries over many years.

May I offer my sincere condolences to you and all the family.

R.I.P. MaxD

Dear Zoe and Family,

I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss. Like many of those who have already posted I benefited from your Grandfather’s immense knowledge deciphering two service records.  He was incredibly kind, gracious and generous with his time and will be much missed here on Rootschat.
Best wishes to you all.

Amelia
