I’m always amazed how they manage to do that.   I can understand WHY they did, but actually having someone lined up seems more than I would have ever been able to manage  ;D ;D

I am trying to reply to all of you via this.

His Death Cert has him living at 128a Birmingham Rd, Lichfield U.D.
He died at Victoria hospital, St Michael. Lichfield U.D   7th April 1948.
His son R. Ibbotson (Ray) notified the death on 8th April.
He was living at the same address.
The probate is correct but 1948.

His wedding cert states he married (my great aunt) Minnie Tonks, on 25 December 1924 at Hednesford Staffs. ( my gran was a witness)
It states he was 24. He was living at that time at, 63 Victoria street, Aston. Birmingham.
His father was Henry Herbert Ibbotson.

I am sorry for the confusion, as my extended family only made contact 2 weeks ago, and we are 100% the same family. his family are now sending so many facts I am getting confused.
The facts I put above are all documented.
Thank you all for your patience as I did not expect so many to try to help.

I don't  know if you may wish to try contacting Lichfield City Council to see if they can help with burial information.

Hi,

Have corrected my typo in previous post, sorry.

If you have access to newspapers, the executors for F H Ibbotson are selling Darnford Bridge Farm, Whittington, Lichfield consisting of 34 Acres etc., offered with vacant possession on completion.

Whilst I cannot see on line a burial in Whittington Church yard, it may be worth further investigation.

The following connection is to a sale Catalogue for Whittington Estate c 1919,  I think that “Darnford Marsh Farm”  34 Acres, is possibly the Darnford Bridge Farm of 1948.  It is lot 14 on the map with full description on pg 13 of the Catalogue.

Thank you so much for that information  spendlove.
i never thought of Whittington, I do not live far from it.
I just felt bad that his relatives came all the way from New Zealand although as part of a holiday, to try and find him. Like myself they are in their 60s.
Hope we find him. :)
