Wow, wow and wow again :) :) :)

I am stunned at what you have found - I didn’t know where to start, having only researched UK records.
I had found Hannah living in the USA and sister Dorothy visiting her, but that was it.

Roderick McRae Deans born 1920 was my husbands uncle, and we came out to him and his wife Beryl when we emigrated from England in 1973. We actually lived at Greenbelt Drive initially! Beryl was my husbands father’s sister - a War Bride.  They had no children and were so good to us. They both died in Tillsonburg, Ontario, so no need for a newspaper obit!

Rods father James had died before we came, but we did meet Gertrude.
Rod also had two sisters, and I am doing this for one of their children.

I did start by looking for Rods birth reg. in Saskatchewan, but got no where fast, so for you to come up with all this is stunning!

Thank you, so very much.

Linda

Thank you. Pleased to help.

Here is the 1926 census of Winnipeg Manitoba with James Deans & Family.

https://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?app=census1926&op=img&id=e011232642

James Deans 38 years
Gertrude Deans 34 years
Eric Deans 6 years
Mary Deans 3 years.

The birth records for Saskatchewan are released after 100 years.  It may take a few more years for Roderick (Eric) and Mary Deans births to show

http://genealogy.ehealthsask.ca/vsgs_srch.aspx

100 year rule the same with  with Manitoba births

Again, many thanks for all your help.  Don, I will try the avenues you suggested as well.

I had no idea we could get such recent census records here in Canada. I’m waiting with much anticipation for the 1921 UK one to come out next year!
