Hi again,
Oops... I knew that the other day when I made that long post; so here are a few other things that might save you time.
The 7 yr old daughter, Sarah, on the 1841 census, can be found on the 1851 transcribed as "Linson".
She goes on to marry Abraham Smith.
The 1 year old daughter, Eleanor, on the 1841 census, is actually "Alice". She died age 2 in 1841.
To find mother Susannah in 1851, she is transcribed as "Lincon" and age 20!!
It appears that Susannah and Thomas were living as husband and wife, but Susannah, being married could not remarry. Hence the "sister" entry on a later census. I came to the conclusion that Alfred was indeed the son of Thomas, although on his marriage, he did list Joseph as his father. Maybe he never knew, although there is a slim chance that Joseph was still the father.
