Photo restoration board
« on: Wednesday 18 August 21 10:47 BST (UK) »
Help please: If a large picture was posted there was a slider at the bottom to see the missing part. Am I missing something simple as at the moment I cannot find the "slider"  I have done 1000's of restores and not had a problem before.

Have a look at this pic on the photo restore board
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=852080.0

You have done a restore and there's a "slider" at the bottom of both your picture & the original. As you can't see the whole pic - you can move the slider left/right to view the complete picture.

VERY rough example ...

Yes, that is what I expect but this is what I get at the moment. Where is the slide bar?

Holding down Shift and using the scroll wheel should also move the picture/window from side to side (though this may be OS and browser dependent). Does that work?

On an iMac so what should I press?

Always seen the slide bar before so where has it gone?

Hello Japeflakes,

What browser are you using, have you noticed any updates recently ? Please try a different browser to see if this is the problem.

Using Safari as always. Not changed anything else as far as I know.  Done 1000's of restores with no problems

Hi, JF. I'm using a Macbook and both Safari and Chrome. No problems here. For me the slide bar doesn't show except when I'm actually sliding a photo, but it works okay.
