Charles was baptised  on 30 September at Colwyn Bay Parish Church. The address is Ashleigh Part St Southport parents Walter Thomas and Eleanor Rowley image on Ancestry

I would agree that he is in the Sedbergh area at School in 1900

He married at St Paul C of E Church in Southport in 1910. That was the local parish church to Part St. It no longer exists. Marriages on www.lan-opc.org.uk stop at 1909.

Walter Thomas Rowley died in Southport 19November 1924 address 20 Oxford Rd Birkdale Southport. He left £6545 7s 3d. His executors were solicitors.

His wife Eleanor died in 1905 at 27 Cambridge Rd Southport. Walter was granted administration of her estate of £290 19s.

1911 Walter is a visitor to a Widow Ann Rowley living in Shotton Flintshire. She is presumably some relation.

Thanks Gibel. Looks as if he could have been born either England or Wales

As far as I can determine it is Southport

The US Wilhelmina was in the right area but I can’t see her or her sisters after 1901.

Do the witness names help on the marriage certificate? What is the father’s name and occupation?

Another for you to peruse.

Newark, Nottinghamshire
Edward and Euphemia Walker and several children.

1873 death of Euphemia Walker , 38 yrs

1881 3375 /33/17

The brother Gerald died October 1918 in France or Belgium, home address 20 Oxford Road. He is remembered on Southport’s War Memorial. Gerald was born in Southport in 1894.

Walter Thomas Rowley and Eleanor Faulkner married 1870 at St Paul Kensal.

Dora’s husband was also a WW1 war death.
