Last bits of evidence for direct ancestors: Kennelly/Kenneally
« on: Sunday 22 August 21 23:50 BST (UK) »
Right, so I have been gathering evidence and double checking my work for various ancestors and this particular line is one I have had the most trouble with! I'd appreciate some help.

So I have all the evidence for Caroline Annie Kenneally (B1892 Shoreditch) - I am now looking at her parents Thomas Kenneally Sr (B1853 D1904) and Martha Elizabeth Wall (B1853). The records I do not have for Thomas are the 1861 and 1881 Censuses. The records I do not have for Martha are 1881 Census, Death and possibly 1911 Census (if not deceased then). They married in 1873 and did have children (William, Patrick (Died before 1), Jane, Helen and Caroline.

Be aware that this family seem to spell their name differently everywhere - I have Thomas as Kennedy (1871), Kenneally (Death), Kennely (Marriage), Prencaly (1901) and Kenealy (1891).

Thomas' parents are Patrick Kenneally (B Circa 1806 Co Kerry, Ireland) and Jane Meehan (B Between 1810-1818 Limerick, Ireland). I have Patrick in 1841 and 1871 Censuses in Middlesex. I have Jane in 1841 (Kennelly), 1851 (Kennelly) 1871 (Kennedy) and a death in 1874 (Keneally). I am missing Patrick in 1851, 1861, 1881 (maybe if not deceased) and his death. I am missing Jane in 1861. I can see their marriage was in June 1828 in Limerick however can't find proof of this and don't have their births (I can post in Irish forums after this one if needed though).

I would be really grateful if you guys could find any of the missing information I have for these people.

Let me know if I need to add anything else - tried not to make it too confusing!

I wasn't expecting to get responses when I posted this late - I will have a proper look tomorrow and check but you may have found the death!  :D

Ok so potentially that's why I can't find them on the 1861.

I'm not quite sure where else to post, unless people are looking but can't find anything same as me and that's why they aren't responding?

Feels like this line has been the most difficult of the family tree so far!
