Lockhart/Todd Belfast
« on: Monday 23 August 21 17:05 BST (UK) »
hello
Margaret Lockhart married 28/8/1909 at St Stephens Church Belfast. On their marriage record on Groni it says he was 21 and she 20. He was a Riveter and living at 21 Bristol street Belfast . Father a William Todd. Margaret s father was Thomas Lockhart. She lived at 46 Perth Street Belfast.

Possible that Margaret and William  had a daughter Rita. They have a son Edward b 23/8/1912 Belfast. Dies 2001 Hawaii

I have been unable to a birth record for Margaret Lockhart. ( its not the one dated 9/11/1901 in Belfast as that Margaret s father is James and mother McKinley )

Nor have  I  found a likely  marriage record for her father Thomas Lockhart. The nearest date wise is for  a Thomas James Lockhart in Belfast and a Elizabeth Ann Best on 25 Apr 1898 at St Marys Church of Ireland .  He lived 5 st Marys St Belfast and Elizabeth 7 St Marys street. He aws 24 and Elizabeth 28 . His father Samuel a farmer.

Would very much like to trace Margaret Lockhart and her ancestors.  Her sons family covered.
Grateful for any information .
Thanks

Could this be the birth record of Margaret in 1889?   MMN Cunningham

In addition to Edward, they had two daughters Adelaide Todd born 1910 and Elizabeth Grant Todd born 1916.

Thank you all .  I had dismissed the Lockhart/Cunningham marriage on Groni as it was 13/4/1890 and Thomas was 38 and a Widower. living at 67 Conlen Street ? Father a James lockhart.
Margaret 37. Spinster. Father Rowsey Cunningham.
Marriage at Mariners Church of Ireland Belfast.

But seeing the information on the census returns I now think it may be.
So  the 1889 birth could be correct --although it seems  a long time to wait to tie the knot. Thomas likely had a an earlier family and the Thomas age 20 on the 1901 census is likely from the earlier marriage.

Margaret's father was Lowry Cunningham, a plasterer.
