Interpretation of BDM & B records

Novice question!  Can anyone tell me what the phrase "carried into visitation" on a baptism record actually means?  Does it mean the baby died and is believed to have joined the angels?  There must have been some reason for using that phrase rather than just "Deceased".

Some of these expressions, used in religious / social context, have meaning that is specific to place and time.   Where and when was the death?

It marks a visit by the bishop or his representative and the inspection of the register at that date.

The baptism took place in Gloucestershire in 1785 and there was less than a month between the baptism on May 29 and the "carried into visitation" on 21 June 1785. This is why I thought the baby may have died.
