John CHILD b. 1792 Yorkshire, 2nd Life Guards, seeking records
« on: Wednesday 25 August 21 15:31 BST (UK) »
Please help me discover more about:
John CHILD born c. 1792 (sometimes written as Childs).
Birth believed to be Ledsham, Tadcaster, Yorkshire.
Served in the 2nd Life Guards from about 1812 onwards. Involved in Battle of Waterloo.
Service ended c.1841, aged 49.

I can't find a record of his birth...
I can't find what happened to him after 1841 when he left the Life Guards...
Did he marry? Have children? What was his trade when not fighting? etc

All suggestions very welcome, thank you.

Yes this definitely looks like him, many thanks.
Seems like he stayed in London, then.

Is there any chance he'd appear on the 1841 census? (I think it was taken in June 1841?)
I need some sharper eyes than mine!
D
