I hope everybody is keeping safe and well. I can not remember if I have ever posted about Bertha Mary C. Hansen (or Hanson) aka Mary. Today I have discovered more about her occupation and that she was a high school teacher and later a librarian. If any can help me find out where she taught or where she was a librarian that would be terrific. Also what the "C" stands for in her name?
A bit about her background:
She was born 3 Feb, 1887 in Michigan to Preben (danish) and Christina (swedish) Hansen (or Hanson). Shortly in that year the family moved to Hennepin, Minnesota. Bertha became known as Mary and attended the South High School. She later studied at the University of Minnesota. After graduating she became a high school teacher. Later she became a librarian at a university. Bertha lived at 46 Ave and never married, she died on June 10, 1959 - buried at lakewood cemetery with her parents.
Bertha's father was a carpenter and died May 27, 1931, her mother Christina died Nov 23, 1942.
