There are also admin bonds 1821 and 1822 for Elizabeth Dyball wife of William.

You might want to see if they give any other information, Dyball is a fairly common name, but it may be the William you are looking for .

Norfolk Chronicle 31 January 1818.
Notice to creditors of William Dyball late of Scottow farmer and maltster.
Ref: Find my past (It is pay to view)but has a very good newspaper collection

This could be your man as well.

Thank you this is excellent..where do you access this ? How can  i

I access newspapers through my Australian National Library Card, using their eresources and Gale Primary Sources (British Library Newspapers). I'm sure many other libraries also provide free access.

And as amondg says, Findmypast also has a good newspaper collection. Subscription usually required, however during these Covid times some libraries also have an arrangement with Findmypast (and Ancestry too) to provide access free from home at the moment (my Local Library does). So worth contacting your local library.  ;)

Hi Southwinds,

Wondered if you would share how you found these wills on family search.

I can obtain access by using the film number on the connection you gave,  but what terminology did you use in the Catalogue search?

Your help would be appreciated.

Hi
Using the Norfolk Record Office catalogue, NROCAT, to see if there is a will, and for references
Dyball, Thomas, of Scottow
ANW, will register, 1812-1813, (1812) fo. 34, no. 25

On the FamilySearch catalogue
Place - England, Norfolk
That brings up a long list of categories. Select Probate records (21 of them)

From the probate records, click on
Wills and administrations, 1469-1857
Author: Church of England. Archdeaconry of Norwich

There are two pages of films, we need the second page
And on that, the film we want is
Regd. copy wills, v. 129 1812-1813

Click on camera icon, and start browsing!
We need folio 34 and as it the will is proved in 1812, it's going to be early on in the film.
Image 39 has folio 34, but T Dyball isn't on that page, and we find him on the next page, as you have seen.
Helpfully the wills are numbered, and his is no. 25, as per the NROCAT result.

You can also see wills for the Norwich Consistory Court at home, but not the Archdeaconry of Norfolk (barring a few films)
I should also say that Norfolk wills, 1800-1857, are on Norfolk Sources
http://www.norfolksources.norfolk.gov.uk/DserveNS/

Though Thomas Dyball isn't showing! He ought to be there somewhere? A bonus is that you can see Archdeaconry of Norfolk wills proved from 1800-57 on there.
John

Hi John.

Thanks so much, not personally looking for Dyball wills, but needed to know to enable me to find
people in my research in Norfolk.

Many thanks
