Trying to find biological father
« on: Tuesday 31 August 21 10:34 BST (UK) »
Good Morning,

I am seeking guidance and advice. I am trying to find my biological father, I know his parents names which are B C born 1905 and J B born 1902 who married in July 1928. They had 8 children 5 boys and 3 girls, who in turn had children. I am struggling to find anyone to contact in the family to seek assistance. How would I go about this please as the phone book no longer exists.

Thanks

If you go to the local studies library in the area concerned you will find a collection of historic Phone books as well as Trade books, in my area they finish in the 1950's.

You can also look up any children in the births for this couple.

Regards

Sarah

Welcome to Rootschat

You can use www.freebmd.org.uk to look for the names of his siblings & the same site to look for their marriages & their children.

You can use www.192.com to search for Electoral Register entries and if any are BT landline subscribers you may find an entry for them on www.thephonebook.com

Hi Oscellsie,

Welcome to Rootschat!  As well as what Sarah and CaroleW have mentioned, once you know the names of the children and grandchildren you could have a look at various social media platforms (such as Facebook) and potentially make contact with them that way.

Good luck with your quest, and don't be afraid to ask any questions that you might have.  (Just continue to not name living people!)
