Wililiam and Elizabeth Lincoln missing from 1891 and 1901 census

Hi

Can’t seem to find William Lincoln and Elizabeth Lincoln in the 1891 and 1901 census. They married in Woodham Ferrers on 12/10/1872. William was 37 and Elizabeth 47 (her age varies).

Elizabeth was born in Suffolk and William in Purleigh.
They are together in 1881 census.
Think Elizabeth died 1908 in Woodham Ferrers. Cannot find William’s death.

Couldn’t find census though. Where did you find it?
Could I not find it as the surname is spelt LINCON?

The surname is mistranscribed as SINCON.  If you don't use a surname and just search for William born 1837 +/- 5 at Purleigh with spouse Elizabeth living in Woodham Ferrers both census records are easily found
