Were they married to each other or siblings?
Did they have children?
Have you found them in 1939 register?

There is  detailed Air Force record for Joseph. He enlisted in 1919 and joined up again in 1938. He is as a result not on the 1939 register although Ellen is there. He married Ellen Stewart, a widow ( maiden name Llewellyn) in Kelloe 10 Jan 1920. The record also names their children with dates of birth.

Possibly but might be completely wrong ..?

Could Ellen have remarried to a Morris Robinson in 1962 Newcastle and have died in Sunderland in 1968? Vol 1A page 823?

I'm good 'Cousin' ;) Daniel, how's you? (it's nice to have a RootsChatter that I share Tyne Pilot ancestors with) :)

Anyway, back to your thread .. do you think there might be a possibility Joseph and Ellen split up and she remarried and he died elsewhere, perhaps?
Or might Joseph have died abroad?  Did he come back from the war?
I am not sure about the Ellen I have mentioned either but she might be worth looking into further.  Perhaps the person who died at Sunderland might have a death notice that may mention her maiden name, hopefully.
