Mary Ann Street b 1853 Walsall, Staffordshire
« on: Friday 03 September 21 03:35 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to figure out if the Mary Ann Street I'm looking for is one woman married to two different men or two different Mary Ann Streets.  This is the information I have.

I'm looking into this woman:

Mary Ann Street (Parents: Thomas Street and Jane Holt)
B:Apr 1853 Walsall, Staffordshire, England

Husband 1:
Elijah Thompson (Parents: Alfred Thompson b. 1826 Kings Heath, Warwickshire, England and Elizabeth Morris b. 1821 Marton, Shropshire, England)
Born: 1851

Husband 2:
William James Lunn (Parents:  William Lunn and Elizabeth Hawkins)
Born:   1855 • Walsall, Staffordshire, England

Thanks!
Roi-Bree

Image is on FindMyPast for the second marriage.

She is a widow.
Father is Thomas, a Coal Merchant

Added.

1st marriage,  father is Thomas a Coal Merchant
Mary Ann made her mark.  But at the second marriage she signed.

Ancestry keeps popping up with him being married to a Harriett.  Could be another Elijah Thompson, Maybe?

No sign of a death for Elijah - Maybe he and Mary Ann didn't get on and they spilt.  She listed herself as a widow and by 1881 he was living with Harriet King??  No sign of a marriage for the couple

The one in Birmingham married to Harriet is a Wood Turner born Birmingham
The one in Walsall  in 1861 was born Wolverhampton.

But yes Kay, I don’t see a death or a marriage.

Can you see either of them in 1871 census?

I also wondered about the change in occupation :-\  At the moment I can't see them in 1871

Kay

Added - and no children from the first marriage

I found that Mary Ann Street was living as a boarder in 1881 and listed as Married.  William James Lunn was living with his parents 1881 and listed as single.
