The North Wales Chronicle and Advertiser for the Principality - 2 March 1861

Charges of Assault.
Thos Williams, of Nevin, was charged by Lewis Roberts, shoemaker, with abusing and assaulting him at Nevin, on the 7th of Feb., and also with making a bonfire in the public street of the same town opposite to the complainant's house. The complainant also made similar charges against John Jones, Nevin, John Parry, Nevin, William Parry, and another John Jones. The cases were all adjourned to the next Petty Sessions, on the application of both parties, in the absence of material witnesses

Overseers of Nevin v. Lewis Roberts. Ordered to pay all rates up to the time the defendant sold the house upon which the rates were assessed, and a proportionate part afterwards, he being only in possession of 2 rooms
