looking for the death of James George Harvey, born 1849
« on: Saturday 04 September 21 19:50 BST (UK) »
In connection to my previous request, I am looking for the death of James George HARVEY, born (as James George Kitson, illeg.) in 1849 St James Clerkenwell. I find him in the 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 (for unclear reasons as Frederick Harvey, but annotated on ancestry as James G.) and 1901 censusses.
He married Matilda Hazel in 1870 in Shoreditch, London. She died in 1925 in Edmonton, Middlesex.

Help in finding the date and location of the death of James George Harvey will be appreciated.

Where do you have Matilda in 1911, did she state she was a widow

Although I am not completely sure that this is the correct Matilda, I found her as Matilda Mary Harvey, as widow, in the 1911 census for Woodford, Essex. She states that she had had 9 children, which fits with the ones I have found. Her eldest daughter, also Matilda, lives with her.

I'm not sure about either the 1911 return, or the 1901 return found by Rosie99.

There is an entry in 1901 - RG13/194, folio 51, page 17

James, Matilda, Louisa, Georgina and Frederick.

All 3 children shown in that household have mother's maiden name of Hazell (via GRO website), with Louisa being Emma Louisa registered 1882 and Frederick being Frederick Kitson registered 1888, Georgina registered 1884.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Frederick Kitson Harvey mmn Hazell

In 1891 James is calling himself Frederick K Harvey - children Matilda F 17, Louisa 9, Georgina 1 & Frederick K 2

ADDED Posted after BumbleB, I agree with the 1901 census suggested

I think that Frederick is possibly with the Nicholes family in the next census. - mother Matilda transcribed as Medelda on Ancestry.

No indication that her husband has died

Transcribed as Harry on familysearch
