The burial of the Taylors
« on: Thursday 09 September 21 12:05 BST (UK) »
Mary Ann TAYLOR (18678-1943) died on 20 May 1943 at the residence of her son, 178 Crouch Lane, Kingsbury, Hendon. Her death certificate lists her residence as 40 Fellows Road, Farnborough.

40 Fellows Road was the family address when her husband, Robert John Taylor, died in 1932.

I have not been able to find burial records for either of them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Which sites have you used to try and locate burials?
Which alternative routes such as newspaper entries for death/ funeral notices?

I have tried searches on Ancestry, FindMyPast and Deceased Online to no avail.

Having just said the opposite, a new search on FindMyPast has found a burial for Robert John TAYLOR at St Peter's, Farnborough on 10 Jun 1932.

Frustratingly, his wife, my direct relative, does not appear to be buried at the same location.

Have you tried contacting Hendon Cemetery?

Tel: 020 8359 3370
HendonCemeteryandCrematorium@Barnet.gov.uk

It’s worth remembering 1943 was wartime, so circumstances were not normal.

Good luck, you never know unless you try, however unlikely it seems.

Sadly, not Hendon.
