To this court came Thomas Bramwell in his own proper person, and in the same court he surrendered into the hands of the lord of the manor two bays of a building situated in Ashford and one garden belonging to the same, containing 9 virgates in length and 8 virgates in width, more or less, with appurtenances, the lands of the aforesaid Thomas Bramwell (being) on the south side and of John Oxspring on the north side, to the use and benefit of Nicholas Bramwell and Francis Bramwell for and during the term of their natural lives and of whichever of them lives longer; to this Nicholas and Francis the lord granted the aforesaid premises through his steward, and also thenceforth seisin by the rod, according to the custom of the aforesaid manor; to have and to hold the aforesaid premises with appurtenances to the aforesaid Nicholas Bramwell and Francis Bramwell for and during the term of their natural lives and of whichever of them lives longer, according to the custom of the aforesaid manor, for rents and services formerly owed and by right accustomed; and they gave to the lord four pence as a fine, they did fealty, and thenceforth they were admitted tenants.

Many thanks Bookbox.
It's pity they rarely give any relationships in these transactions in manor court rolls.
I guess everybody knew who was who when they were written!
